Brian Wilson will teach you how to stunt!

San Francisco Giants’ closer Brian Wilson has been spotted rocking the super exclusive Marty McFly’s (Nike Air MAG) in the dugout.  Released in limited numbers in eBay auctions only, the first pair went to an anonymous bidder for $37,500.  Who cares about the tobacco spit and sunflower seeds getting these kicks dirty, B.Wilson bought two pair!  Stuntastic!

Green Shoes

Buy the shoe, wear the shoe, bury the shoe.

That’s right, BURY the shoe!  It’s exactly what the OAT Shoes company wants you to do.  Based in Amsterdam, OAT Shoes have taken the environmental approach to sneaker design.  The 100% biodegradable shoes made primarily of hemp and cotton, are meant to be buried once their life above ground is complete.  OAT has even embedded wild flower seeds in the tongue of the shoe, so once buried and watered, your once worn out shoe starts a new life as a bouquet of flowers in the earth.

With a range of industries taking up the responsibility to be environmentally conscious, in a time when the planet needs it most, it seems OAT Shoes have taken the lead in bringing consciousness to sneaker design.

Some of the first line:

Priced from $139 - $149 EUR (appx. $200 - $215 USD), they are now available at OAT Shoes.

MySneakers App

Available today in the Apple iTunes App Store, is the all new MySneakers Application. Developed by my good friend and certified “sneakerhead” Louis W. Colon III, this app introduces the latest in mobile technology to just about every aspect of the sneaker shopping experience.

I was lucky enough to test the app prior to today’s release date, and it was a joy from start to finish. Sneaker novice or sneaker pro, this app has you covered. A top rated sneaker list, Twitter/Facebook integration, sneaker detail feature (screen shot shown above), and links to the top sneaker blogs on the net are just a few of the services found in this regularly updated app. My favorite feature is the GPS function, which utilizes your phone’s GPS to locate stores and sneakers nearest your current location.

This app is available today for the iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch, with Android and Blackberry versions expected to be released Summer 2010.

Head on over to MySneakersApp.com or the Apple iTunes App store for more information.
