[Video] “Dominis in the Heights”

Juan Bago and “O” (pictured above) became internet sensations early this year, with the release of the music video parody “Pan con Queso.”  A spoof on rapper Wiz Khalifa’s hit record “Black and Yellow,” “Pan con Queso” is a fictional (and very funny) journey the two Washington Heights based actor/comedians embark on in search of their favorite traditional Dominican breakfast: “pan con queso” (bread with cheese).

Juan Bago and “O” are back to give us more Dominican-American fueled comedy, and this time are taking on Jay-Z & Kanye West’s “Ni**as in Paris.”

The song is “Dominis in the Heights,” and the video is below.  Enjoy!

Here’s the official video for Ducksauce’s “Big Bad Wolf.”  I’ll say it’s definitely umm, unique.

Professor Ryan Leslie?

Well, not exactly Professor at New York University’s Clive Davis Institute of Recorded Music, but Mr. Ryan Leslie has been named it’s first Artist-in-Residence.  What this means for students at the Clive Davis Institute is direct access to one of today’s most successful entrepreneurs in the music industry.  Leslie’s role as Artist-in-Residence will include one-on-one sessions, group lectures, songwriting critiques, and mentoring.

Yet another feat for Leslie, who scored a perfect 1600 on his SATs at age 14 and went on to graduate from Harvard University at 19.  An already platinum selling singer, songwriter, and producer, we can go ahead and add teacher to his resume.

Well done Mr. Leslie, well done.

Brisk x Shady Records

This past weekend, for one day only, Shady Records and Brisk (Lipton/Pepsi) opened the doors to the Brisk Bodega.  A dope pop up bodega-themed museum showcasing the evolution of Eminem’s Shady Records with authentic memorabilia collected from multiple parties associated with the label.

Check out the video below for a look at the Brisk Bodega, and plz don’t mind me being a fatty at 1:41 lol.  Enjoy!

[Video] “All Of The Lights” - Kanye West

Kanye West’s new video for “All Of The Lights,” directed by Hype Williams is a good video, but not exactly a new idea.  Check one of my favorite songs/videos, “DVNO” by Justice (released in 2008 by the way!).  You’ll quickly see what I mean.  Still, good work from Mr. West, and as always…  Can’t wait to see what’s next.
