Subway Throwback!

Dubbed “Nostalgia Shoppers’ Special Train,” the MTA is offering rides in some of their Vintage Subway Cars along the weekday 6th Avenue line between 2nd Avenue and Queens Plaza.

For the cost of a regular MetroCard ride ($2.25), riders can take a trip back in time to the NYC subway system between 1932 and 1939.

I was a bit late on posting, as this was on going every Saturday starting November 26th and ending TOMORROW December 24th.   So all you lovers of all things vintage, get up tomorrow and take a trip back in time!

Here is the schedule of departures and you can catch a ride along the line at all stops in between:

Departures from 2nd Avenue are at
9:58 AM, 11:27 AM, 12:57 PM, 2:27 PM, and 3:57 PM.

Departures from Queens Plaza are at
10:43 AM, 12:13 PM, 1:42 PM, 3:13 PM, and 4:43 PM.

Video History of the iPhone

CNET UK put together this really cool video showing the history of the people and technology that came before and helped to create the iPhone we have today.  Can’t help but notice Motorola’s stamp on the industry in the past, seems Apple has taken their role as innovators today.  Whose turn will it be next?

The Video was dedicated to the late Steve Jobs.  Way to go CNET, excellent work.  Enjoy!
